house dating from the 16th century can be rented for the summer months.
It is completely secluded and ideal for those who enjoy mountain
scenery, hill walking and the sights and sounds of a natural reserve.
It is reached by its own drive leading from the communal road, and
there is parking area beside the house sufficient from three or four
The house is simple and well-furnished. It has running water from its own spring, electricity, hot water (immersion heater) and bottled gas cooking. Washing and drying facilities are in the barn across the grassy courtyard. Firewood is provided.
There is a small supply shop and bar at the bottom of the hill (300m) opposite the commune town hall.
A caretaker couple may be working around the farm staying in an apartment in the barn and who can provide extra services like trekking, child-care or language translation by arrangement.
The house sleeps a maximum of 6 adults and is ideal for two small families to share
Fun for children
Children can explore the thirty acres of woods and fields, play in the waterfall of the mountain stream that passes through the terrain or trek around the many hill trails. There is a swimming hole and kyak centre 5 kms away where two mountain rivers meet. There is table tennis, badminton and other games also available at the house, while there is a Fronton (pelota court) by the village shop at the bottom of the hill.
